This Privacy Policy explains how Contractor LP (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use contractorlp.com(the “Site”).
1. Information we collect
- Account information— name, email address, phone number, company name, and any addresses you save.
- Order information— the products, sizes, colors, quantities, and artwork associated with each order, along with shipping and billing addresses.
- Payment information— processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers; we receive limited tokens and metadata (last four digits, card brand, charge ID) from Stripe.
- Artwork you upload— logos, designs, and other assets you upload to design or submit an order.
- Site usage— basic logs (IP address, browser user-agent, request paths) used for security and debugging.
2. How we use information
- To produce, fulfill, and ship your orders.
- To communicate about your account, orders, support requests, and (with your consent) marketing.
- To detect and prevent fraud and abuse.
- To improve the Site and our services.
3. Who we share information with
We share information only with the third parties needed to deliver what you ordered:
- Payment processor — Stripe, for card processing.
- Production printers — the print shop assigned to your order receives the artwork, sizes, colors, and shipping address needed to produce and ship it.
- Shipping carriers — the carrier handling your order receives the shipping address.
- Email provider — SendGrid, to deliver transactional emails (order confirmations, status updates, support replies).
- Cloud storage — Amazon S3, where uploaded artwork and design previews are stored.
- Where required by law (court order, subpoena, or to protect rights and safety).
We do not sell personal information.
4. Cookies and tracking
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not currently use third-party advertising or analytics cookies on the Site.
5. Retention
We retain account and order information for as long as the account is active and as needed to provide our services, comply with legal obligations (e.g. tax records), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can request deletion of your account (see Section 7).
6. Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), encrypt passwords at rest with bcrypt, and scope file access on our object storage. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your data we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of marketing emails. To exercise any of these rights, email us via the Contact page from the address on your account.
8. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the Site and (where you have an account) by email.
